A fast-growing e-commerce lighting company based in Trafford Park, Manchester is looking for a warehouse manager to support its operations and continued growth. The company has expanded from 2 to 12 staff in two years and moved into new 17,000 sq ft facility in the Summer of 2017. The business has a single fulfilment centre and back office CRM / accounting system but two "front end" brands: one B2C, and one B2B supplying some of the U.K's largest companies: NEXT, HARRODS, NEW LOOK, TESCO, NIKE and more. The existing team has been recruited with care and the office and warehouse is a fun but-hardworking environment where everyone gets on and pulls together to get things done. The new office includes showers (you can cycle to work), kitchen and a recreation area - all part of the employer's commitment to creating a great place to work. The candidate You must be highly organised and show ability to plan ahead. You must have a high level of experience in stock control and warehouse management in order to face a number of existing challenges within the warehousing department. You must have a strong ability to delegate important tasks. We will be looking for a candidate who can demonstrate organisation and an ability to get things done. You should be a team player that gets on with your colleagues and who enjoys coming into work. The main tasks for the role are: - Organising stock control - Implementing stock control processes and procedures using existing experience. - Improve inventory accuracy - Improving accuracy in picking and packing. - Management of the team, including recruitment and training of new team members, and management of current staff - Reporting into the director - Responsible for the tracking and reporting of logistical timelines, stock availability, budgets, issues and quality during the life of the project from delivery start up meeting to full project delivery, managing issues and risks as they occur. Escalating to relevant managers any issues as appropriate and owning them through to resolution. - Management of Health & Safety for the department -internally for the team and working conditions at the warehouse, and also for the quality control on the production department - Quality control implementation in production - Ensuring excellent communication and collaboration between all internal and external teams Start date: 4 weeks Please do not apply unless you are confident you have the skills and experience we need for this demanding management based roll.
